Product Overview
The YF(R)S2-12 series indoor high-voltage AC vacuum load switch and its associated fuse combination unit has been successfully developed by our company. It meets the performance requirements specified in the national standards GB/T 3804-2017 "High-Voltage AC Load Switches from 3.6 kV to 40.5 kV" and GB 16926-2009 "High-Voltage AC Load Switch-Fuse Combination Units," as well as the international IEC 420 standard. This product boasts outstanding electrical and mechanical performance, with a reliable and stable operating mechanism, safe and dependable breaking capabilities, an extended electrical life, the ability to handle frequent operations, minimal maintenance needs, and a clearly visible isolation break.
The product’s outstanding insulation and mechanical properties ensure reliable operation of switching equipment, even in environments with severe contamination. Equipped with advanced mechanical and electrical interlocking mechanisms, it delivers exceptional operational stability and dependability, safeguarding both personnel and equipment while maintaining safe electricity usage.
● Miniaturization: Cabinet width as low as 500mm, with a depth of 900mm.
● Integrated Design: Featuring a compact, frame-based structure, this high-performance, miniaturized high-voltage electrical product integrates an isolating switch, vacuum load switch, fuse, and grounding switch into a single unit.
● Modularity: Equipped with the self-developed CTE6-type spring operating mechanism, which requires minimal operating force and features a modular design for easy inspection and maintenance.
● When the isolating switch is in the open position, the isolation blade maintains a distance greater than 125 mm from the cabinet body (for cabinets with a width of 500 mm).
● Metal partitions (compliant with China Southern Power Grid standards) can be installed to separate the busbar room and the switchgear room.
● The load switch and circuit breaker have identical external dimensions, making cabinet integration convenient.
● A comprehensive "five-protection" interlocking system ensures simple and reliable cabinet-level "five-protection" interlocks.Model Description

Main technical specifications

Selection of High-Voltage Current-Limiting Fuses:

The impact output energy of the selected fuse must be: Medium, 1 ± 0.5 J (joules); free travel distance: 4 mm.
Required energy-release stroke: 16 mm; Actual stroke: 20–40 mm;
Minimum tolerable force: 20 N; maximum duration of the stroke: 100 ms;
We recommend selecting the following fuse model: XRNT-12 High-Voltage Current-Limiting Primary Cutout Fuse.Environmental operating conditions
a. Altitude not exceeding 1000m;
b. Ambient temperature range: -25°C to +40°C;
c. The daily average relative humidity does not exceed 95%, and the monthly average remains below 90%;
d. The surrounding air should be free from significant contamination by corrosive or flammable gases, water vapor, or similar substances;
e. Areas free from fire and explosion hazards;
f. Locations with seismic intensity not exceeding 8 degrees and slope angles no greater than 5 degrees.Operating Instructions and Interlock Requirements
Optimization of On/Off Indication
●Refer to the circuit breaker operation indicator plate shown on the right. The on/off indicators for each switch are integrated with a primary simulation diagram. In the illustrated state, the system is in maintenance mode: the circuit breaker is open, the isolating switch is open, and the grounding switch is closed—indicated by green colors. When the system is energized, all on/off indicators turn red. During actual operation, you can quickly determine the status of each switch simply by checking the color of the corresponding indicator.
Interlocking methods for circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and grounding switches
● The isolating switch can only be opened after the circuit breaker has been tripped; and the earthing switch can only be closed after the isolating switch has been opened.
● The isolating switch can only be closed after the grounding switch is open; the circuit breaker can only be closed once the isolating switch is closed; and once the circuit breaker is closed, it cannot be closed again.
● The cabinet door can only be opened after the grounding switch has been closed.
● The grounding switch can only be opened after the cabinet door is closed.Circuit breaker operation (installed upright on the switch side, with left-hand operation)
● The energy required to close the circuit breaker is provided by the closing spring. Energy can be stored either by driving a motor powered by an external source, or by manually operating the energy-storage handle. To manually store energy, insert the handle into the energy-storage shaft and turn it counterclockwise until you hear a distinct "click," indicating that the energy storage process is complete.
● Turning the on/off knob clockwise closes the circuit; once fully closed, the circuit breaker’s on/off indicator changes from green to red.
● Turning the on/off knob counterclockwise will trip the circuit breaker; once tripped and fully engaged, the circuit breaker’s on/off indicator will change from red to green.
● The electric operating switch is controlled by closing and opening buttons for motorized operation.Operation of the isolating switch (installed upright on the side of the switch, with left-hand operation)
● Turning the operating key counterclockwise closes the circuit; once fully closed, the disconnector’s open/close indicator changes from green to red.
● Turning the operating key clockwise will open the circuit; once the switch is fully opened, the disconnection indicator changes from red to green.Operation of the grounding switch (installed upright on the side of the switch, with left-hand operation)
● Turning the operating key clockwise will open the circuit breaker; once fully opened, the grounding switch’s opening/closing indicator will change from green to red.
● Turning the operating key counterclockwise closes the circuit; once fully closed, the grounding switch’s open/closed indicator changes from red to green.The operation of locking the cabinet door
● Closing the cabinet door automatically releases the interlock between the door and the grounding switch.
● Once the grounding switch is closed and the cabinet door is opened, the cabinet door automatically locks in place relative to the grounding switch.
